[Photo + Video] Mercedes SLR 722 Black Arrow by edo Competition

The crack team at edo Competition has turned their attention to the Mercedes-McLaren SLR 722.

Dressed in matte black with 21-inch alloy wheels, the bespoke supercar features a supercharged 5.5-liter V8 that has been outfitted with a revised air intake, a stainless steel sport exhaust system, and an optimized ECU. Thanks to all these tweaks, the engine produces 722 PS (531 kW / 712 PS) and 890 Nm (656 lb-ft) of torque. This enables the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.4 seconds, 0-300 km/h (0-186 mph) in 24.5 seconds, and onto a limited top speed of 345 km/h (214 mph). Power output of the standard 722 Edition is 650 PS (478 kW / 641 bhp).
Besides the performance modifications, edo added an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel, carbon fiber trim, and a new infotainment system with GPS navigation and Bluetooth/iPod connectivity.

[Car tuning] 2011 Ford Focus RS Black Racing Edition by Anderson Germany (Pictures)

We’re used to seeing these "Black Edition" tuning packages from Anderson Germany on many different sports cars available, but their latest project seems to be a little on the questionable side of the spectrum. The talented tuning firm has gone from the Ferrari 458 Italia and the Audi R8 V10 to a run-of-the-mill Ford Focus RS. Don’t shake your heads just yet though; after all, thrill-seeking speed is not just for people with thick wallets and hefty bank accounts.

Like with all of the other Black packages offered by Anderson Germany, the RS Black Racing Edition starts off with a black exterior and red contrasts. The aerodynamic package includes more pronounced wheel arches, an extra thick spoiler, and a matte black wrap. For the interior, the tuner has added leather upholstery, Alcantara, and beautiful red stitching.

The real work, however, was done under the hood. Anderson Germany took a hatchback that produced 305 HP out of its 2.5L 20 V DOHC RS engine and added a turbo system and a new exhaust to achieve 420 HP. Now that’s how you kick a hatchback in the ass and get it going.

It may not be a sports car, but at least now it can drive like one.

[Tuning] Ferrari 458 Italia Black Carbon - Edition by Anderson Germany

The Ferrari 458 Italia is not the only Ferrari model to caught Anderson Germany attention. If their first package was based on the California, their next step was the 599 GTB Fiorano and now the 458. And keeping the same trend with all their latest packages, the kit for the Italia model is called Black Carbon Edition.

As it name suggest the 458 Italia Black Carbon Edition combines a black exterior paint with carbon fiber insertions and the exterior mirrors, rear diffused, air inlets and of course the new set of wheels. As for the interior, black leather and Alcantara is combined with carbon fiber inserts.

As for the power upgrade, thanks to the addition of a new exhaust system and an ECU recalibration, the 4.5 Liter V8 engine will now deliver an impressive 623 HP, quite an impressive update over the standard 570 HP. However, the tuner said nothing about the performances upgrades, but don’t expect a significant improvement over the standard 202 mph.
