David Beckham and son car crash
David Beckham and son escape injury and citation after 405 Freeway accident
David Beckham is recovering after he was involved in a car crash in Los Angeles.
The footballer was with son Brooklyn when his black 2009 Cadillac Escalade smashed into the back of a stalled gold-coloured Mitsubishi that had broken down in a carpool lane.
The accident took place on the southbound lane of the busy 405 freeway near Torrance, according to police.
Neither Beckham, 36, nor Brooklyn, 12, were injured.
But the driver of the other vehicle, named by sources as a Mr Martin, was taken to a local hospital, according to the California Highway Patrol, after complaining of neck pains. His injuries were said to be 'not serious'.
Law enforcement sources told celebrity website TMZ.com that Beckham was neither cited nor arrested, nor was the driver of the other car.
A spokesman for Beckham was unavailable for comment.
